The Casa Museo treasures the impressive library of the Poet Giovanni Pascoli along with his autographic works, relics and personal objects. Here the Poet spent the last years of his life and wrote his most beautiful pieces. Time seems to have stopped at the beginning of the 20th century as everything internally and externally is perfectly preserved.
The “Museo Civico del Territorio” is hosted at Palazzo Pretorio, the old Town Hall headquarters where you can visit the ancient prisons. The exhibition rooms propose archeological findings of the Paleozoic, Medieval and Renaissance periods. Here you can admire the Podestà Crest of Arms and the antique measurements under the Loggia.
Multimedial museum to discover the history and architecture of the Serchio Valley with special attention to the Fortresses and Castles of the territory. The visits can be organised only by appointment.
At the old people’s home “Villa di Riposo Giovanni Pascoli” you can admire by appointment twelve large paintings of John Bellany considered to be one of the greatest contemporary artists..
17th century building named after the notorious local artist Bruno Cordati (1890 –1979). His works of art are exposed in the rooms that were once his own art studio.
Expo-Studio of the artist Sandra Rigali and photographer Caterina Salvi that together deal not only with art but also with social and communication projects.
Printing Studio of Swietlan N.Kraczyna, maestro of etching and artistic multi-plate printing, a special technique taught in many important schools and proposed in special courses at the studio.
